 No.11  Simulator Vs. Arcade
I love ARMA for it's simulator feel. Such a nice change from BF2. No bunny hopping. Tanks actually have ammo types. Rifles that are better than for shotting point blank. Just the overall realism. But the blurb about consoles? BF2 sold 2,225,000 copies last time I checked. I have trouble believing PC gaming is dying.

No.10  Is there hope for PvP
i hope there is a future for PvP like it was back in ofp, right now arma1 has no such factor due animation bugs and unresponsive controls. we had many awsome leagues for ctf, c&h, cti and funcups in dm, the browser was filled with tnt, czl, ecl, mfcti and cqb league maps and those battles felt really breathtaking in speed and tacticts.

All that seems to got lost while becoming more a vbs trainer in arma1, so my hope is back to the roots, make more space for fun which would not destroy the real part for coop players.

 No.9  Good news
I like what I've seen so far, the AI improvements are very welcome here. The RPG and other interactive elements will add depth to push this beyond a 'shooter'.. Especially if they are dynamic, and the AI controllers list of objectives or tendancies can be easily updated by the user/scripts. I'm watching on the edge of my seat!
Thanks!

...even for mission design and addon making!! What about improved (3D-)editor and tools?

RPG elements nice idea! Does the players action really affect missions in campaign? Or is it "T-switch" stuff??

AI should been better in pathfinding on foot, vehicles, air and sea... lot of work beside eyecandy facial, vegetation, animal and destructionfx details ;)

Is it a good idea if ArmA and ArmA 2 can be played together?

 No.6  Cfg and Campaign
The best change is definite the step to the new world region with the europe scenery.

I hope for arma2, the campaign will be more like the ofp cwc campaign with some characters to identify.

Scripts Addons from ArmA should work in ArmA2 but is there some massive changes in the config files?

About the BLogs, i think its a good Idea to come closer with the community.

 No.4  PS3?
It's looks pretty cool with this game and Console release. But, are you thinking about ArmA 2 on PS3? I've know only that you would release Arma 2 on Xbox 360, but I don't now if you would release it for PS3 too... It would be really cool, if you say on your blog on which consoles comes ArmA 2. I hope only, it is not only the Xbox 360. I would be really dissapointet. And the last thing, are you more concentrated on Console version or on the PC version? This RPG and AI features are sounds really good. This Game would be a next game, which can hold me at console for few years. OFP was the first and last game, which had hold me on for 6 years on PC. And now I thing ArmA 2 (on PS3) would make the same thing as OFP.

Remove streaming? No... Think multicore stuff with optimised streaming = far more effective and smooth.

Here's a blend of feedback and questions as I am sure many here would also like to know, and look forward to any answers in future blogs.

Really looking forward to better AI, and the taunts/gesture junk sounds good, but I can't begin to imagine my reaction if the AI in ArmA2 refused to get in a vehicle, walk across a road or through a gap that an Abrams could pass through safely, or cross a bridge, then performed a rude 2 finger salute taunt to me - I think some well justified friendly fire might occur lol... Will pathfinding get to the point that the navigation of the AI through obstacles feels and looks natural? Presently the command of a large squad for serious use, like RTS, is limited- is the pathfinding area of AI slated for many improvements?

The increased communication between factions and other game entities mentioned above in this blog - is that envisaged as part of the engine itself, or scripted in the 'campaign' - could it be the first sign of an information / objective sharing / target handoff type of system growing in-game?

If console compatibility means we get to use rudder pedals on a PC then I'm all for it, but will we still be able to use a mouse as now for player control? Are animations and rapid changes between them (hit the deck!!) under consideration for improvement?

The more realistic ballistics and penetration mentioned in another page are still going to happen on the console and PC both?

Will the console and PC be able to play online together in future with ArmA2?
With user-made maps and addons?

I welcome these blogs as they give us an insight into what we can expect and where our passion is heading - sorry if it seems like a wish list above, but they are very important questions for very many players.

Sounds very cool. I would like to suggest do avoid streaming because of higher performacne and moderate RAM usage. I am lookin forward to see our good old rainy/cloady Europe scenery!
